What’s the role?

Join us in running and evolving WiPR’s flagship mentoring programme in partnership with PR Week – now in its 11th year. A fantastic opportunity to grow and engage both our vibrant mentor and mentee communities – with a real direct  impact on the future leadership and career success of 20+ women each year across our industry. In the role you’ll work shoulder to shoulder with the existing Mentoring committee members and be supported by the mentoring Shadow Committee.

What will I be doing?

  • Engaging with existing mentees and mentors throughout the year to ensure smooth running of the programme and a seamless mentoring experience
  • Recruitment for incoming mentors and mentees ensuring diversity of experience and expertise
  • Ability to leverage your own industry network to identify partners, possible participants and opportunities to promote
  • Partnering with the social committee leads, PR Week and key partners to promote the program and relevant milestones across the year
  • Oversee the in-person and virtual judging events
  • Oversee planning and execution of key in-person and virtual mentee and mentor events across the year (2x in-person for both, 3x virtual for mentors)
  • Exploring and testing new tools and support, and development of additional resources, using insights and feedback from previous cohorts.
  • Encouraging active engagement from participants in wider WiPR events and community
  • Setting KPIs and measuring performance / feedback
  • Joining monthly committee meetings and attending events, representing WiPR

What experience do I need?

  • Similar programme management experience
  • Community engagement
  • Industry or stakeholder partnerships / relationship building
  • Strong industry network of leaders or rising talent

What skills are you looking for?

  • Collaboration
  • Innovative storytelling
  • Strategic thinking
  • Organisation
  • Proactivity
  • Positivity

Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about making the PR industry a better place for women and believes strongly in the power of mentorship and sponsorhip. The role requires approximately 2-3 hours time commitment a week, or 8 -10 hours a month.

How to apply

If you would like to put yourself forward to join our busy, passionate and friendly WiPR team of volunteers, then please do consider nominating yourself.  All roles have a two year tenure.

If you know someone who currently isn’t a member but who could really add value to our work, do please encourage them to put themselves forward and join as a member.

We’d love to hear why you want to join us.  You can nominate yourself by clicking on the link below.

Simply nominate yourself by using this form

In addition to being a member of WiPR (or willing to become one), nominees will need to provide their name, job title, company name and we will also ask for voluntary disclosure of diversity data.

We look for a wide range of different voices and lived experiences to make sure our committee is reflective of the entire women in PR community.

So what are you waiting for?  If you want to join us, please throw your hat in the ring.

Applications are open from now until 12th January 2025.  Once we have all applications, we will ask our members to vote.  We’ll let you know when the voting opens.  Our successful applicants will be announced at our AGM at the end of January.
