To bring new perspectives to bear on our work and to support the work we do for members, we are adding additional seats to our committee. We currently have vacancies for the following roles and full job descriptions outlining what these roles involve and the time commitment are detailed below:

Membership secretary
What’s the role?
The role of Membership Committee Member is to encourage new joiners and handle all enquiries relating to existing memberships – both from individuals and corporates
What will I be doing?
- Driving and increasing membership, alongside the rest of the committee
- Being the point person for membership enquiries, working alongside our part-time admin assistant and coaching our Shadow Committee members assigned to membership
- Ensuring the membership package remains competitive and attractive
- Handling corporate member enquiries – securing new members, answering questions, preparing invoices, following up renewals
- Overseeing payments and processing refunds when required, alongside our Treasurer
- Preparing monthly updates for the committee and measuring progress against KPIs
- Joining monthly committee meetings and attending events, representing WiPR

Social Media team member
What’s the role?
A opportunity to grow and engage the Women in PR Community across our social channels. In the role you’ll work shoulder to shoulder with the existing Social Community committee member and be supported by the Social Shadow Committee.
What will I be doing?
- Reviewing our social strategy and tone of voice
- Posting on our social channels as part of the social team’s rota, as well as reviewing content
- Exploring and testing new content formats
- Working alongside wider Committee Members to plan the social schedule
- Reviewing new opportunities with platforms outside of our existing channels
- Identifying industry conversations that we can lend our voice to
- Setting KPIs and measuring performance
- Responding and engaging with our community
- Joining monthly committee meetings and attending events, representing WiPR

Sponsorship and Partnerships team member
What’s the role?
The role of Sponsorship and Partnerships Member covers two areas that complement each other. One is to seek out and establish sponsors to support the range of WIPR activities we put on. The other is to help build our community and the reach of what we do and the impact that we make for our members. We do this by forming partnerships with other networks who share our values and advocacy on similar issues, and support our diversity goals.
What will I be doing?
- Reviewing impact and effectiveness of past sponsors and partners
- Developing a plan to identify, engage and win new sponsors and partners by working across the Committee to understand needs based on activities we are putting on and issues we are advocating for
- Building our pitch deck to engage and encourage new sponsors and partners
- Developing and securing sponsorship and partnership deals
- Identifying partner conversations that we can lend our voice to
- Setting KPIs and measuring performance
- Responding and engaging with our community, sponsors and partners
- Joining monthly committee meetings and attending events, representing WiPR
