Events Team Member – 2 open roles
What’s the role?
An exciting opportunity to develop and deliver a dynamic programme of events that supports the Women in PR community. This role allows you to connect members, foster career development, and drive awareness of WiPR’s key initiatives. You’ll collaborate closely with the rest of the committee and will be supported by the Events Shadow Committee member.
What will I be doing?
- Creating and managing an engaging calendar of events that blend in-person and virtual formats, ensuring accessibility and appeal to our diverse membership. Key events include summer and Christmas networking events and the AGM in January.
- Collaborating with the Mentoring and Campaigns teams to design events that align with and celebrate WiPR’s Mentoring programme and Campaigns.
- Managing all event logistics, including:

- Drafting compelling event copy and invitations.
- Overseeing guest list management.
- Organizing venues, food and beverage, event staffing, and photography (for more significant events).
- Attendance at events

- Partnering with the Sponsorship team to source, collaborate with, and manage relationships with agencies and industry partners that provide venues or catering in exchange for brand visibility.
- Working with the Social Media and Communications team to promote events, drive attendance, and strengthen WiPR’s reputation as an inclusive, value-driven organization.
- Engaging with Events Shadow Members, inviting their input, and offering opportunities for growth and learning.
What experience do I need?
- Planning and executing professional events.
- Coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including sponsors and team members.
- Managing event logistics and communications.
- Promoting events through social and digital channels – working with our social media team.
- Building relationships with agency and industry partners.

What’s the commitment?
Approximately 2-3 hours per week (8-10 hours per month), with some additional time for key events.
