Campaigns and media team member – 2 open roles
What’s the role?
A chance to take an active role campaigning for gender equality at the top of the PR and comms industry. You will be working alongside the Campaigns committee advocating for the issues that matter to our members such as championing diversity, equity and inclusion and combating ageism. You will be supported by the Campaigns Shadow Committee.
What will I be doing?
- Monitoring the news and spotting topics for our members to comment on
- Rapid response comment and liaison with the PR and Marketing media
- Helping to lead on our 40 over 40 campaign: press release, nomination process, launch event and materials etc
- Drafting press materials
- Taking stock of the issues that matter to our members
- Setting campaign KPIs and measuring performance
- Being a visible and active member at events and key launches
- Joining monthly committee meetings and attending events
- Representing WiPR and encouraging new memberships
- Collaborating with the wider WIPR team with fresh thinking and ideas
What experience do I need?

Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about making the PR industry a better place for women. The role requires approximately 2-3 hours’ time commitment a week, or approx 10 hours a month.

In addition to being a member of WiPR (or willing to become one), nominees will need to provide their name, job title, company name and we will also ask for voluntary disclosure of diversity data.
We look for a wide range of different voices and lived experiences to make sure our committee is reflective of the entire women in PR community.
