2022 is a landmark for Women in PR, as we are celebrating our 60th Anniversary as an organisation. To mark this occasion we shared and discussed a range of initiatives with our members and key stakeholders at our Annual General Meeting (AGM), which was held on Wednesday, 2nd February at South Place Hotel.
Our President Anna Geffert opened the AGM with an overview of landmark moments from the past year and what we have managed to accomplish in these unprecedented times.
Each of our committee members had the opportunity to present a summary of progress made throughout the past year.
Our mentoring programme remains one of our key activities and Jane Fordham shared our plans for the 2022 mentoring scheme.
We are excited for what 2022 has to offer; with new committee members, an exciting programme of work to celebrate our diamond anniversary, and of course an extensive events programme. The evening ended with networking, food and a renewed energy for the future of Women in PR.
Special thanks to Sarah Samee and Alison Hicks who both stepped down from the committee board this year, we appreciate all their hard work and support and wish them well for the future. We also have two new proposed committee members, Laura Sibley and Nicola Dodd who we shall be presenting to our members to be voted on to the board this year.
