About this Event

We’ll be speaking to people leading crisis communications during the pandemic – learning about the work they’ve been doing, the impact it’s had on them professionally and personally, how they’ve demonstrated leadership and how they’ve coped.

Episode 3

Join us for the third webinar in our series, where we’ll be looking beyond the UK and getting a global perspective of Communicating COVID19.

What have the experiences been for our counterparts across the globe? We’ll be hearing from 3 senior female communications professionals leading the response in America and Asia.

Bess Winston is Managing Director at the Winston Agency in Washington DC. She has worked for Fortune 100 corporations, national organisations, associations, and non-profits – with clients including Tetra Pak Inc, The World Bank and Meals on Wheels America.

She’ll share the challenges she’s faced over the last 4 months – as a PR practitioner and as a business owner – including supporting major global manufacturers on their COVID responses, adapting her service offerings and dealing with financial and resourcing pressures.

Mary Beth West is an agency founder in the U.S, now a contract senior strategist for Fletcher Marketing PR and Co-Host of the #MsInterPReted PR podcast. She’ll give her insights on business continuity planning, COVID crisis communications and the impact on universal mental well-being.

Shih-Huei is the CEO and Co-Founder of Klareco Communications – which operates in Indonesia, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Yangon. She leads a team of over 50 PR specialists and has been supporting clients on responding to the Covid-19 challenges and the impact it has had to their businesses.

As countries across the world adjust to the new normal, the focus is now on the restructuring and transformation that companies have to take to survive and thrive in a post-Covid-19 era.
